Just a new piece i finished the last few days, its a smallish canvas – using acrylic paint and ink/pens.
This particular piece is differently made than most of the artwork i do – in this piece i started with a very faint pencil outline, then painted the balloon with some basic colour stripes. Only then did i start using a pen and add detail.
Usually i work the other way around, though this process saves a lot of time because i dont need to paint around all the fine lines i make. Anyway, i hope you like it.

started to add some ink details, such as the green leaf/blade areas and the star up the very top.

getting on, now needing to start working on the sky/background blue again…
It was 42 degrees celsius on this day. here is a photo i took later on that evening. lucky for me, beer is a great cooling agent.
